Fina: Pirate Princess (Japanese: 海賊王女, Hepburn: Kaizoku Ojo) is an upcoming original Japanese anime television series created by IG Productions and Kazuto Nakazawa. 1 2 The series is a co-production between Crunchyroll and Adult Swim. 3 The series is scheduled for a 2021 releaبse on both platforms before airing in Japan. 4
Fina: The Pirate Princess tells the story of a young orphan girl, Fina Hotman, who lives in a fascinating version of 18th century alternate history. Vena grew up on an island with no hope of escaping the dark fate imposed on her by her captors, to be used and disposed of by the soldiers of the British Empire. But we are more than just another helpless orphan. When her mysterious past knocks, she will break the chains of her oppressors in us. Her goal: to escape from her captors, to form a new identity, to search for a place she can truly belong to and to discover the real mystery behind the keyword: Eden. It is the story of the adventure of a lifetime that she and her crew of misfits and unlikely allies will have, in pursuit of her goals!

The anime was announced on July 26, 2020 during the Adult Swim Con online event and simultaneously aired during a commercial break on the air of the Toonami programming block. The series is directed by Kazuto Nakazawa. Asako Kobuyama writes the scripts for the series, while Yuki Kajiura composes the music It will be broadcast on Adult Swim in Toonami, an English programming block dubbed The Crunchyroll subbed sometime before October 2021.
